Mixing pattern 🤎

We wanted to create a cosy snug area that felt separate from the rest of the kitchen, mixing colour and pattern has played a big part in this.

Florals, stripes, checks and small-scale prints can all happily live in the same room, the key is varying the scale and finding a colour thread that connects them.

The softer wall colour (@farrowandball Setting Plaster) wooden floor and simple jute rug gives everything space to breathe.

I love rooms that feel personal, layered and a little unexpected, even in practical spaces of a home, like the kitchen!

A home library/snug scheme 🤎

The rich aubergine walls from @littlegreenepaintcompany create the perfect backdrop for layers of texture, from the velvet chair and woven rug to the glass light fittings.
